Does me ’ed in, that does. This explains it far better:

Never Trumpers are not the only ones

They’re just the crucial ones here:

After President Trump was sworn in and quickly began fulfilling his campaign promises as well as putting in place conservative policies, many in the Republican base thought that the “NeverTrumpers” would come around to supporting him.

However, no matter how many conservative policies he put in place, no matter how many conservative judges he put on the bench (including the Supreme Court), no matter how many jobs he created, no matter how well the economy is doing, nor how many peace deals he’s brokered, these individuals remain just as much against him as they were during 2016 primaries.

However, few of them have articulated to the Republican base what specific policy reasons they have for opposing President Trump. They only repeat the same vague liberal talking points about his character, rhetoric and tweets.

Of Columbo, Maigret and the fundamental interconnectedness of all things

Having scheduled the football and destructiveness posts, the Rudi honeytrap thing, I saw this recommended by youtube:

Columbo’s good at any time but this May-December story was so to the point. I’d also suggest Toodles check out the last seconds of the clip … on the wall behind Columbo. 🙂

Natural human destructiveness

Dirk Gently, as you’ll recall, spoke about “the fundamental interconnectedness of all things”, a grand Adams’ joke because it took a [duh] truth and turned it into an aphorism.

Thing is – beyond Douglas Adams’ own understanding perhaps – what if there really is something … dot dot dot?

For example, I would have been struggling for a word for ‘aphorism’ – maybe ‘analogy’, ‘parallel’ – and the word suddenly came back to mind – have you seen me use it much before?

Duhhh, says you, happens all the time, do not ascribe to this ‘something’ that which can be explained by the human synapses.  And I reply – do not ignore the human synapses there in the first place … and so on … I love these conversations with myself.

Whatever, I checked in on Twitter:
